 Nepal's strong opponent Netherlands has defeated Nepal with a huge margin in a practice match played in UAE. Nepal got defeated by 44 runs from mighty Netherlands. Nepal as always chose to bat after winning the toss. Nepal's bowling attack was seen blunt today and Netherlands were able to make a huge score of 195 losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. Ben Cooper and Peter Boren started with a blast after Wesley Barresi was bowled by Sompal Kami in 11 runs. Ben Cooper and Peter Boren made a huge partership and made 99 runs for 2nd wicket. Netherlands players couldnt stop them in scoring and hitting huge shots and gave a target of 196 runs to Nepal.
In reply, Nepal couldnt even reach near of the target. Nepal were restricted for 151 runs in 20 overs losing 7 wickets. Openers Suvash Khakurel was out of 2 runs when the team score was 16 runs and Sagar Pun was also cought in his personal 15 runs. See the scorecard here:

Amrit Bhatterai who replaced Prithu Baskota was more economical today. He gave 42 runs off 3 overs. Crisis man Basant Regmi gave 48 runs of 4 overs. Sompal Kami and Jitendra Mukhia took 2 wickets. Sompal Kami gave 24 runs off 4 overs and Jitendra Mukhia also gave 33 runs of 4 overs. Shakti Gauchan was wicketless in today's game.

In reply Nepal started with a good note but that was not enough to touch the target. Parash Khadka, Gyanendra Malla and Binod Bhandari were impressive while Pradip Airie again failed to score a run and Suvash Khakurel was out for just 2 runs.

Nepal will now play UAE on 7th March(tomorrow) in a 2nd practice match. The match will be played in a daynight match. The match will start from 7 PM Nepali time.
