Nepal Film Artists Association yesterday  organised a blood donation Program among the Nepali film artists in  Kathmandu. The program was organised at Shanti Batika, Ratnapark, Kathmandu. Nepali film artist association is doing a great job by doint these kinds of social activities in recent days. A few week ago this organisation took participation in Bagmati Cleaning Campaign with various artists and the campion  is still going on and is held every Saturday of the week. Actor Dhiren Shakya and  actress Sumina Ghimire have participated on today's blood donation program to make it successful. According to the president of an Artists Association, Nawal Khadka, different junior/senior artists, police officers and locals participated in the blood donation program.
The entertainment arena is normally termed as the not so respected field in Nepali society but the stars of the movies get huge respect and response. With this innitiative the image of the actors and actress is likely to improve in the society. Different donation programs, including the various victims of flood, fire victims are commonly helped by the Nepali artists. This shows their kindness towards the humanity. Various artists in Nepal even have their personal trust to help the differently affected victims of Nepal.
The Nepali Cinema industry has been one of the back bone of the society now. The movies have been the medium of spreading awareness . The movie celebrities are even treated as huge personality. Though Nepal don’t have very long history in cinema sector, the movie industry has its own typical charm and has been the place to promote the cultural heritage of Nepal.

The very first Nepali movie is reported to be Satya Harishchandra. As per sources, it is the first ever movie in Nepali language. The movie was produced by D.B Pariyar. The movie unit had to go to India to edit movie due to lack of technology in Nepal. The first movie was released on Sepetember 14, 1951. Where the first film that was produced and edited in Nepal was “Aama” which means mother.
Lets wish good future of the people involved in Nepali movie industry.
