Defending World Cup champions Spain have started a worldcup journey
with a happy note. Spain defeated Bolivia 2-0 in a warmup match played Friday in
the home of Spain. The game was played in the electrifying environment of Ramón
Sánchez Pizjuán stadium Sevilla. The game was played in front of 35000
attendance . Chelsea striker Fernando Torres gave Spain a lead in
51st minute in 2nd half through pelanty. After then
Iniesta scored in 84th minute through the pass assisted by Sergio
Busquets.
Iniestia came as the substitute before making the clever
finish at 84th minute utilizing
the pass of Busquets. Spain during the game missed more sure chances of scoring
goals. In the first half there were no any good moves made from the both sides which
led the 1st half to end 0-0.
Martinez was fouled by Luis Alberto Gutierrez in the box and
Spain was awarded penalty in the 51st minute. Fernando Torres easily
converted the spot kick to goal.
After that Del Bosque made a triple substitution for Spain wih, Sergio
Busquets, Fabregas and Davil Silva in the place of Torres, Xavi and
Cazorla. Iniesta was also substituted
for Mata in the half time. Iniesta
doubled the lead with the quality goal in 84th minute. The curling pass from Sergio Busquets from
the Spanish half met Andres Inestia and
Inestia completed his job by beautifully dodging the opponent goal keeper,
Quinonez.
Spain despite getting more goal scoring chances had to
struggle just to score 2 goals against Bolivia. At the end of the second half
before 7 minutes left , Sergion Buquets had a golden scoring chances but his
shot made a wood work and the reboud shot of Silva was also saved by Quinonez. Bolivia’s Keeper Quinonez had a great performance
yesterday to save Bolivia from Spanish attacking lineup. Hats off to the keeper.
