New Aircraft Arrives Nepal After Three Decades!

One of the four aircrafts has arrived Nepal  from China today. The 56-seater arrived Nepal today at 1:45  this afternoon. The aricraft is  Morden Ark 60 (MA60). The 56-seater is the first new aircraft to arrive Nepal after 28 years.  Nepal Airlines Corporation bought the plane for domestic transportation. The plane will be handed formally to Nepal Airlines Corporation tomorrow in a organising a special function. Nepal Airlines corporation now has only a plane remaining, before another plane was destroyed in a dangerous crash in Arghakhanchi on February 18 this year. NAC is now struggling to provide service with just one Twin Otter these days.
The MA60 was manufactured by Chinese manufacturer Avic International which is from Xian province. The  American pilots brought the plane in Nepal from China and the foreigner pilots will stay Nepal for one months and will train Nepali pilots for one months to fly MA60. Nepal Airlines Corporation had previously sent four Nepali pilots and nine aeronautical engineers to China for training about MA60 and other planes. They sent pilots also arrived today with the aircraft.
It is learnt that the new aircraft will make its first flight from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa for the first flight in Nepal. The Nepal  Airlines Corporation is plannig to make official scheduled flight of the plane from next week. The aircraft will be used for  the flight to Dhangadi, Bhairahawa , Biratnagar and Bhadrapur.
The Chinese company will be delivering next 19 seater Twin Otter Y12E on July this year.
The plane today got a huge welcome by the public and the NAC officials. Plane was welcomed by playing special  musical instruments called Panche Baaza and with religious Pooja being organised. Lets have a look at some pictures of the arrival of MA60.
The air way of Nepal is not considered as the safe airway lets how the new aircraft make impression in the difficuly air way.
