The Project Ara has announced the new type of smart phone , a
modular smartphone. The phone will be released by January next year. One of the
amazing things about the phone is the cost. The phone will have a starting
price of USD 50 only. The Google’s

look of phone and its features. Different gadgets will be available for the
customization and will be available in dab grey color.
Project Ara is the sub project under Google which is
commonly known as ATAP (Advanced Technology and Projects). ATAP is the single and only division that was
held on to by Google.
The Project Ara is aiming to give the opportunity and
structural platform in the phone so we can customize the gadgets like keypad, display, battery , camera etc with
our own hands in easiest way as well.
Project head Eremenko in the recent conference has announced
the date of release of the phone by January 2015 and he aims to complete
everything by bypassing the various obstacles that might come in the run. The
obstacles are not just the hardware related problems, later he clearified the

The development of the drivers and operationg systems are the
main challenge for the construction team. Since the recent Android OS doesnot
fit in the phone, the construction team has to develop new operating system. The modular concepts will lead the
manufacturer team to develop new operating system and drivers. Eremenko has
stated that they will complete the works of drivers and OS by December this
year .
Google’s Project Ara will have electro-permanent magnets to
hold the different components in the particular place. Unified Proctol will be
used for the interconnection of Ics in phone and will be used for
inter-component communicaiton in Project
Ara.
The phone will be available in three different designs,
Mini, Regular and Phablet. The phone will feature Wi-fi, Android OS (specially
