Nepal: 150/5 in 37.3 overs.
Results: Nepal won by 5 wickets with 71 balls remaining.

Nepal achieved their 2nd victory in the ACC Premier League 2014 which is running in Malasiya. Nepal in the second match defeated host Malasiya with 5 wickets with 71 balls remaining to go. Being a host Malasiya showed a class game in their home ground. Malasiya elected to bat first after winning toss. Malasiya started with a blast , but losing wickets at the regular intervals cost them. Once they were near to run rate of 6 runs per over but they went on losing wickets at regular intervals. They made total 149 runs in 42.6 overs. Youngster bowler from Nepal, the 18 years old Sompal Kami took 5 important wickets to restrict Malasiya to 149.
In reply Nepal started with a very slower note. They lost the important wicket of Suvash Khakurel in 1st over without scoring a single run. Nepal then gave wicket of Gyanendra Malla when they were at 19 runs. Losing important wickets of Malla, Parash, and Naresh Budha Ayer Nepal had to struggle some where when they were at 36 runs. Then a 89 runs partnership between Sharad Veswakar and Mehboob Alam gave Nepal a strong stand and headed towards win. Mehboob contributed 53 runs off 71 balls smashing 8 fours. Sharad was not out at 29 runs. After Mehboob Alam Binod Bhandari supported Sharad and Nepal easily achieved the important win of the tournament.
Nepal will now play against Oman on May 4, and against Hongkong in May 5.
