Oman defeated Nepal in the super thriller match of Asian Cricket Council Premier Leauge 2014. The game was the 9th match of the tournament and was one of the interesting thriller that happened in this tournament. Oman won the toss and elected to field first. The pitch of the ground was obviously helping the fielding team in the first innings. Nepal batting first made a worst start of the tournament.  Nepal had to lose a consistant opener Suvash Khakurel without scoring a run. Suvash played 10 balls but scored zero. Later Gyanendra Malla and Naresh Budha Ayer made a hold to a innings after fall of the 1st wicket. They made 40 runs partnerships and Malla was gone as the 2nd wicket at 10.4 overs. Malla scored  26 runs off 24 balls. Amazing thing about Malla’s innings was he smashed 6 fours.  Later Parash Khadka came and was unable to read the pitch conditions and cought out scoring just 6 runs. The veteran Mehboob Alam also couldn’t perform well and was out for just  5 runs playing 13 balls. Later Sharad Veshawakar came to support Naresh Budha Ayer. He somehow tried to support Ayer but Naresh Budha Ayer had to go to pavelian as the 5th wicket in 21.3 overs. Binod Bhandari also couldn’t play well and was out for 10 runs. Similarly, Shakti Gauchan scored 15 runs, Basant Regmi scored 6 runs. Allrounder Sagar Pun was stumped out by Sultan scoring 20 runs. Later Sompal Kami added 11 runs to make 157 runs in the basket of Nepal before inviting Oman for batting. Oman later chased the target of 158 runs in 47.5 overs making Nepal a disappointing defeat. The tournament has now been interesting with four teams having same chances to win the title.
Aamir Kaleem of Oman took humiliating 4 wickets for Oman. With Zeeshan Maqsood and Lalcheta taking 2 wickets each. Amir Ali and Rajesh Kumar took 1-1 wickets each for Oman to restrict Nepal to 157 runs.
