Oman in the second innings with Nepal started with the worst
start as well. They had to lose 1st
wicket without scoring a runs in the very first ball. Zeeshan Siddiqui was
trapped lbw by Sompal Kami in the very first ball to give Nepal a hope to
restrict Oman not to chase the low target. Jashan Maqsood was seen sound in the
second innings. He was leading Oman to chase the target easily. He scored 44
runs individually off 49 balls to rise the hope for Oman. VS Wategonakar was
again trapped lbw by Sagar Pun as the 2nd
wicket for Nepal in 7.2 overs. Wategonakar was able to score 8 runs off 16
balls. Dangerous man Jashan Maqsood was also sent to pavilion by veteran Shakti
Gauchan which returned the hope to Nepal then after. At that time Oman were 87/3. Later Arif Hussian came in
the pitch along with Lalcheta. Arif Hussain tried to hold the innings somehow.
He scored 23 runs off 33 balls before being trapped by Nepal’s skipper Parash
Khadka. AJ Lalcheta also had to return pavilion after he was trapped lbw by
Parash Khadka again. Lalcheta scored personal 4 runs only. Later Jatindar Singh
was also trapped lbw by Basant Regmi as the 6th wicket while Oman
were playing at 94 runs. Later Mohamaad Nadeem was also trapped lbw by Shakti
Gauchan as 8th wicket.
Previously Aamir Kaleem was made out by Sompal Kami as 7th
wicket. Finally Oman skipper Sultan
Ahmed and Amir Ali played a heart
breaking innings for Nepal and was able to seal victory for Oman from Nepal. Sultan
Ahmed made 32 runs off 55 balls and Amir Ali scored 14 runs off 38 balls.
Sompal Kami, Shakti Gauchan and Parash Khadka took 2-2
wickets each. Sagar Pun and Basant Regmi took 1-1 wicket each for Nepal.
